Refund Policy

1. Refund Policy Overview

At QuizGod, we strive to provide exceptional service. This refund policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds are provided for Premium subscriptions. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to this policy.

Payment Processing: Paddle.com Market Ltd. is our Merchant of Record and processes all payments on our behalf. Refund requests are handled in accordance with Paddle's policies.

2. Premium Subscription Pricing

Monthly Plan

Price: $5.00 USD per month

Billing: Charged monthly on your subscription date

Cancellation: Cancel anytime; access continues until period ends

Annual Plan

Price: $50.00 USD per year (Save 17%)

Billing: Charged annually on your subscription date

Cancellation: Cancel anytime; access continues until period ends

3. Money-Back Guarantee (14 Days)

We want you to be satisfied with QuizGod. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all initial Premium subscription purchases.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You are eligible for a full refund if you request it within 14 calendar days of your initial purchase date.
  • No specific reason is required to request a refund within this period.
  • This applies to the initial subscription charge only.

Effect of Cancellation (If Approved):

  • Full refund of the subscription fee paid.
  • Refund processed to your original payment method.
  • Premium access will be revoked upon refund approval.

4. Automatic Renewal & Cancellation

Automatic Renewal: Premium subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled. You will be charged the then-current subscription price on your subscription anniversary date.

Renewals

The 14-day money-back guarantee applies to your initial subscription purchase. Automatic renewal charges are generally non-refundable once processed. To avoid renewal charges, you must cancel before your billing cycle ends.

How to Cancel:

  • Log in to your QuizGod account → Account Settings → Subscription
  • Click "Cancel Subscription" and confirm, OR
  • Email support@quizgod.xyz with subject "Cancel Subscription"

5. When Refunds Are NOT Issued

Refunds will generally NOT be issued in the following case:

  • After 14 Days: Refund requests made more than 14 days after the initial purchase.

6. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund within the 14-day period, please contact us or Paddle:

Option 1: Contact QuizGod

Email support@quizgod.xyz with the subject line: "Refund Request"

Option 2: Contact Paddle Directly

Visit https://paddle.net/ to contact our Merchant of Record directly.

Information to Provide:

  • Your account email address used for purchase.
  • Transaction ID (from your receipt).

7. Sales Tax Refund Policy

If you've been charged sales tax (VAT, GST, or similar) on your purchase and are registered for sales tax in your country, you may be entitled to a sales tax refund.

Requirements:

  • You must contact Paddle within 60 days of the transaction to be eligible
  • Provide a valid sales tax code for your country
  • Request made after 60 days will NOT be processed

⏰ Important: You have only 60 days from purchase date to request a sales tax refund. After that window, all refund requests are automatically rejected.

8. Failed Renewal Charges

If a subscription renewal payment fails due to expired card, insufficient funds, or other issues:

  • Paddle will attempt to retry the charge (typically up to 3 times over several days)
  • If all attempts fail, your Premium subscription will be automatically canceled
  • Access will revert to the Free plan
  • You will receive email notifications about the failed payment
  • You remain responsible for any uncollected amounts
  • You can reactivate Premium anytime by updating your payment method

Note: Failed payment attempts do NOT qualify for refunds, as no successful charge was processed.

9. Chargebacks & Dispute Resolution

Please contact us FIRST before disputing any charge. If you dispute a charge with your bank (chargeback) instead of working with us:

  • Your QuizGod account will be immediately suspended or terminated
  • Chargebacks incur significant fees and harm small businesses
  • Paddle will provide transaction records to your bank in defense
  • You may be barred from future use of QuizGod
  • Filing a chargeback does NOT result in a refund

What to do instead: Contact support@quizgod.xyz with any billing concerns. We will work with you to resolve issues fairly and quickly.

10. Your Consumer Rights & Statutory Protections

This refund policy does not limit or waive any statutory consumer rights you may have under applicable laws in your jurisdiction. You may have additional rights beyond those outlined here.

  • EU/EEA Residents: You have a legal 14-day right of withdrawal under the EU Consumer Rights Directive
  • UK Residents: Similar statutory rights apply under the Consumer Contracts Regulations
  • US Residents: State consumer protection laws may apply

11. Changes to Pricing

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing at any time. If we increase prices:

  • Existing subscribers will receive at least 30 days' notice via email
  • New pricing will apply to renewals AFTER the notice period
  • You may cancel before the price change takes effect to avoid the increase
  • Current billing period prices remain unchanged
