1. Refund Policy Overview

At QuizGod, we strive to provide exceptional service. This refund policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds are provided for Premium subscriptions. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to this policy.

Payment Processing: Paddle.com Market Ltd. is our Merchant of Record and processes all payments on our behalf. Refund requests are handled in accordance with Paddle's policies and applicable consumer protection laws. Paddle is authorized to accept refund requests on behalf of QuizGod.

Refunds at Paddle's Discretion: Refunds are provided at the sole discretion of Paddle and on a case-by-case basis. Paddle may refuse a refund request if evidence is found of fraud, refund abuse, or other manipulative behavior. This does not affect your statutory consumer rights.

2. Premium Subscription Pricing

Monthly Plan

Price: $5.00 USD per month

Billing: Charged monthly on your subscription date

Cancellation: Cancel anytime; access continues until period ends

Annual Plan

Price: $50.00 USD per year (Save 17%)

Billing: Charged annually on your subscription date

Cancellation: Cancel anytime; access continues until period ends

3. Consumer Right to Cancel (14 Days)

As a consumer, you have the right to cancel your subscription and receive a refund within 14 days from the day after purchase, without giving any reason, in accordance with Paddle's consumer protection terms.

⚠️ Important Exception:

Your right to cancel does NOT apply if you have already started to download, stream, or otherwise acquire the digital content. By completing the purchase and accessing Premium features, you acknowledge and accept this condition.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Cancellation must be requested within 14 calendar days from the day after purchase
  • Applies to initial Premium subscription purchases only
  • Does NOT apply to subscription renewals (monthly or annual)
  • Does NOT apply if you have used Premium features or downloaded digital content
  • Request must be submitted within the 14-day period

Effect of Cancellation (If Approved):

  • Full refund of the subscription fee paid (at Paddle's discretion)
  • Refund processed to your original payment method
  • No additional fees charged for the refund
  • Refund issued within 14 days of approval (typically 5-10 business days)
  • Premium access revoked immediately upon refund approval

4. Automatic Renewal & Cancellation

Automatic Renewal: Premium subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled. You will be charged the then-current subscription price on your subscription anniversary date.

❌ NO REFUNDS ON RENEWALS

Automatic renewal charges are NOT eligible for refunds. The 14-day cancellation right applies ONLY to your initial subscription purchase. After that, there are no refunds on unused subscription periods, including renewals.

How to Cancel:

  • Log in to your QuizGod account → Account Settings → Subscription
  • Click "Cancel Subscription" and confirm, OR
  • Email quizgod25@gmail.com with subject "Cancel Subscription"
  • Include your order number and email address
  • IMPORTANT: Cancel at least 48 hours before the end of your billing periodto prevent renewal charges

After Cancellation:

  • Cancellation takes effect at your next renewal date
  • Premium access continues until the end of your current billing period
  • You will NOT be charged for the next billing cycle
  • Your quizzes and data remain accessible as a Free user (subject to Free plan limits)
  • You can reactivate Premium at any time

5. When Refunds Are NOT Issued

Refunds will NOT be issued in the following cases:

  • After 14 Days: Refund requests made more than 14 days after purchase
  • After Digital Content Access: Once you've accessed Premium features or downloaded content
  • Renewals: Automatic subscription renewals (monthly or annual)
  • Partial/Unused Periods: Unused time remaining in a subscription period
  • Fraud/Abuse Detected: Evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or manipulative behavior
  • Account Violations: Accounts suspended or terminated for violating Terms of Service
  • Chargebacks: Disputed charges filed directly with your bank (may result in account termination)
  • Wire Transfer Orders: Orders paid via wire transfer are not eligible for refunds (except special cases per Paddle)
  • Previously Refunded: Accounts that have already received a refund for the same plan type

6. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund within the 14-day cancellation period, you can contact either QuizGod or Paddle directly:

Option 1: Contact QuizGod

Email quizgod25@gmail.com with the subject line: "Refund Request"

Option 2: Contact Paddle Directly

Visit https://paddle.net/ and submit your cancellation/refund request directly to Paddle (our Merchant of Record)

Information to Provide:

  • Your account email address used for purchase
  • Purchase date and transaction ID (from your Paddle receipt email)
  • Subscription type (Monthly or Annual)
  • Reason for refund request

Processing Timeline:

  • QuizGod: Response within 24-48 hours (business days)
  • Paddle: Processes refunds at their sole discretion
  • If approved: Refunded to your original payment method within 14 days
  • You will receive confirmation email from Paddle

7. Sales Tax Refund Policy

If you've been charged sales tax (VAT, GST, or similar) on your purchase and are registered for sales tax in your country, you may be entitled to a sales tax refund.

Requirements:

  • You must contact Paddle within 60 days of the transaction to be eligible
  • Provide a valid sales tax code for your country
  • Request made after 60 days will NOT be processed

⏰ Important: You have only 60 days from purchase date to request a sales tax refund. After that window, all refund requests are automatically rejected.

8. Failed Renewal Charges

If a subscription renewal payment fails due to expired card, insufficient funds, or other issues:

  • Paddle will attempt to retry the charge (typically up to 3 times over several days)
  • If all attempts fail, your Premium subscription will be automatically canceled
  • Access will revert to the Free plan
  • You will receive email notifications about the failed payment
  • You remain responsible for any uncollected amounts
  • You can reactivate Premium anytime by updating your payment method

Note: Failed payment attempts do NOT qualify for refunds, as no successful charge was processed.

9. Chargebacks & Dispute Resolution

Please contact us FIRST before disputing any charge. If you dispute a charge with your bank (chargeback) instead of working with us:

  • Your QuizGod account will be immediately suspended or terminated
  • Chargebacks incur significant fees and harm small businesses
  • Paddle will provide transaction records to your bank in defense
  • You may be barred from future use of QuizGod
  • Filing a chargeback does NOT result in a refund

10. Your Consumer Rights & Statutory Protections

This refund policy does not limit or waive any statutory consumer rights you may have under applicable laws in your jurisdiction. You may have additional rights beyond those outlined here.

  • EU/EEA Residents: You have a legal 14-day right of withdrawal under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (subject to digital content limitations)
  • UK Residents: Similar statutory rights apply under the Consumer Contracts Regulations
  • US Residents: State consumer protection laws may apply

11. Changes to Pricing

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing at any time. If we increase prices:

  • Existing subscribers will receive at least 30 days' notice via email
  • New pricing will apply to renewals AFTER the notice period
  • You may cancel before the price change takes effect to avoid the increase
  • Current billing period prices remain unchanged
